National nonprofit research institute achieves three significant milestones as Candid, Salesforce, and Google recognize the organization’s commitment to accountability, operational excellence, and public education.

Truth Trench Think Tank is proud to announce three major organizational milestones that collectively strengthen its ability to serve the American public through independent research, civic awareness, leadership development, and entrepreneurship.
Over the past several months, the nonprofit research institute has:
Taken together, these accomplishments represent far more than individual recognitions.
They demonstrate that nationally recognized organizations have independently validated Truth Trench Think Tank’s transparency, invested in its operational capacity, and expanded its ability to educate citizens across the United States.
“Our mission has always been to strengthen America through informed citizens, ethical leadership, entrepreneurship, government transparency, and independent research,” said Michael J. Penney, Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Truth Trench Think Tank. “These milestones aren’t about awards. They’re about building an organization worthy of the public’s trust.”
Building Trust Through Transparency
Trust is earned—not requested.
That philosophy guided Truth Trench Think Tank’s decision to pursue Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of nonprofit recognition available through Candid, the nation’s leading source of nonprofit information and one of the world’s largest providers of charitable data.
The Platinum Seal is awarded to organizations that voluntarily provide comprehensive information regarding their mission, leadership, governance, financial stewardship, organizational goals, measurable outcomes, and demonstrated impact.
For Truth Trench Think Tank, the recognition reflects a belief that organizations advocating transparency should practice it themselves.
“If we expect government institutions and other organizations to operate openly,” Penney said, “we have a responsibility to hold ourselves to the very same standard.”
According to Candid, organizations earning a Seal of Transparency experience greater visibility among donors and grantmakers, while Seal holders receive, on average, 62 percent more charitable contributions during the following year.
Building Capacity Through Technology
Transparency alone does not create impact.
Organizations also require systems capable of supporting growth while maintaining accountability.
Truth Trench Think Tank recently retained its Salesforce Enterprise Grant for Nonprofits, providing access to one of the world’s most advanced customer relationship management platforms.
Valued at more than $300,000, Salesforce’s Enterprise platform serves as the operational backbone of the organization, supporting donor stewardship, volunteer management, grant administration, educational programming, public awareness campaigns, constituent engagement, research participation, reporting, and organizational operations.
The technology also provides the infrastructure necessary to measure participation, evaluate outcomes, automate administrative processes, and maintain accountability as the organization continues expanding nationally.
“Great organizations are built on great systems,” Penney said. “Salesforce enables us to spend less time managing information and more time serving people.”
Expanding Educational Reach
An effective nonprofit is only valuable if people can discover its work.
To help accomplish that mission, Truth Trench Think Tank has also been accepted into Google Ad Grants, providing up to $10,000 each month, or approximately $120,000 annually, in Google Search advertising.
Unlike traditional grant funding, Google Ad Grants provide advertising credits that allow qualifying nonprofit organizations to connect citizens searching for information related to their educational mission.
For Truth Trench Think Tank, this means more Americans will be able to discover independent research reports, public awareness campaigns, leadership resources, entrepreneurship education, FOIA tools, transparency initiatives, and civic engagement opportunities through Google Search.
“Education only creates impact if people can find it,” Penney said. “Google’s investment dramatically expands our ability to connect citizens with credible, research-driven educational resources.”
A Foundation for Long-Term Impact
While each milestone is significant on its own, together they tell a much larger story.
Truth Trench Think Tank is intentionally building the infrastructure necessary to become a long-term institution dedicated to serving the American people.
Transparency establishes trust.
Technology creates capacity.
Education expands impact.
These investments support every aspect of the organization’s work, including Truth Trench Reports, nationwide awareness campaigns, leadership education, entrepreneurship initiatives, the DOMINATE curriculum, the Truth Trench Accelerator, public policy research, and citizen participation through structured public engagement.
Rather than beginning with predetermined political conclusions, Truth Trench Think Tank studies issues affecting American society through evidence-based research, presents multiple perspectives, and encourages informed public discussion grounded in facts.
Citizen participation remains central to that mission. Americans from every background are invited to contribute their thoughts, concerns, experiences, and recommendations through ongoing research initiatives. Those perspectives are analyzed alongside publicly available information to identify trends and produce independent research reports intended to contribute to discussions at the federal level.
Looking Ahead
As Truth Trench Think Tank continues to grow, these milestones provide a strong foundation for future partnerships with donors, grantmakers, corporations, volunteers, researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who share a commitment to transparency, accountability, and public service.
“Every one of these recognitions reinforces the same principle,” Penney said. “Operate with integrity. Build strong systems. Measure results. Serve people well. If we remain faithful to those principles, the impact will continue to grow.”
For Truth Trench Think Tank, these achievements are not the destination.
They are the beginning of the next chapter.
