Welcome to the Truth Trench Podcast. What does a think tank actually do?
After these four introductory episodes, each weekly Truth Trench Podcast will recap the previous week in the federal government so you can enter the next week informed. We will work directly from official federal documents, legislation, votes, agency announcements, executive actions, court opinions, and hearing records. We will not use news outlets or media commentary as sources. Each recap will link to the original records, distinguish proposals from enacted measures and actions in effect, and attribute government statements rather than treat every claim as established fact. We will close with officially announced events to watch in the coming week and a reminder to use Truth Agent to stay current.
Think tanks study problems, examine evidence, and develop ideas that can inform public decisions. Their work can include research reports, policy analysis, public discussions, and educational resources. Their priorities and methods vary, so it is worth asking who funds the work, which sources support it, and how conclusions were reached.
At Truth Trench Think Tank, our approach brings research and public education together with leadership and entrepreneurship. We want people to understand the issues and have practical ways to contribute to their communities.
The Think Tank’s mission includes transparency, civic understanding, and independent inquiry. The Accelerator adds education and mentorship for business owners. Together, these activities express the approach we are building: investigate a problem, explain what the evidence shows, and help people put useful ideas into practice.
You should be able to examine our work and ask hard questions. A familiar name or a confident voice is never a substitute for evidence. Read the sources, compare the reasoning, and tell us where a question deserves more attention.
