Government – Executive

The executive branch of government has some roles and they include the President, leader of the federal government, head of state, and Commander in Chief of the US armed forces. The Vice President supports the President, and also presides over the US Senate and breaks ties in Senate vote situations. The Cabinet which serves as advisors to the President, vice president, executive departments, and high ranking officials. The executive branch also includes departments, independent agencies, boards, commissions, and committees.
