Eritrea is where 90% of the human trafficking victims originate from on their way through the Sinai Peninsula that connect Egypt to the Middle East. The Suez Canal passes right through it, and below that the Read Sea, which is the most trafficked shipping lane on earth.
Eritrea has the second longest continuous coastline along the Red Sea. It’s geographic importance is significant. It’s population is under constant oppression from birth. They are conscripted into the military upon entering this world and treated as slaves of the state in perpetuity. Why have we never heard of Eritrea?
