- BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, historically a supporter of green energy initiatives, acknowledged that wind and solar alone “can’t reliably keep the lights on” without “major breakthroughs in storage” and wrote that it’s necessary to be “clear-eyed about our energy mix” in his annual chairman’s letter to investors on Monday.
- Fink supported the transition to green energy in the past and heads BlackRock, the world’s largest asset management company, which has pushed for Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG). Fink said in 2023 that he would no longer use the term ESG due to its political connotation, though he’s “not ashamed” of the term and believes in “conscious capitalism.” Fink praised nuclear power and raised doubts Monday regarding the reliability of solar and wind energy alone due to storage issues in his annual chairman’s letter.

Congressman says Trump’s rare earth minerals plans could spur manufacturing boom in Rust Belt
- In 2023, China accounted for nearly 70 percent of global production of strategic minerals. Its share has increased after reaching a low at 57.6 percent in 2020. “And here’s the reason why it’s so important that we mine them, because you’re going to almost certainly have your manufacturing close to where you find the natural resource,” Tiffany says.
- Congressman Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., predicted that President Trump’s plans on rare earth minerals could spur a manufacturing boom in the Rust Belt, referring to last week’s joint session of Congress on Tuesday. At that speech, Trump said “Later this week, I will also take historic action to dramatically expand production of critical minerals and rare earths here in the USA.”
- Trump is reportedly preparing an executive order that would speed up raw mineral production and processing. Tiffany, a member of the Committee on Natural Resources and chairman of its Subcommittee on Federal Lands, said Trump’s executive action will be a game changer for the U.S.

Democrats have a Victory. It would be devastating for the Republican Party and, far more importantly, for the United States. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
- The audiences of the dying legacy media are told that the tariff is a destructive policy revived by politicians like Trump who fail to understand elementary economics, which teaches that free trade benefits all sides all the time everywhere, with no exceptions.
- The rehabilitation of tariffs, then, is a belated course correction in response to the rise of China, which has been driven by U.S. companies that offshored manufacturing. The Middle Kingdom has lost its position as the world’s most populous nation to India, but it has surpassed the U.S. as the world’s largest national economy. China dominates global manufacturing, accounting for a market share of around 30% of manufacturing value added in 2023. In comparison, that same year American manufacturing accounted for only 16% of the global total.
- China’s trade with the U.S. resembles that of a dominant manufacturing nation with a resource colony. In 2023, China’s main exports to the U.S. were broadcast equipment, computers, and office machine parts. Apart from integrated circuits, one of the few industries in which the U.S. retains an advantage, America’s main exports to China in 2023 were soybeans and crude petroleum, with the value of soybeans ($15.2 billion) twice that of silicon chip exports ($7.01 billion).
- Statistics like these explain why not only the U.S. but most other industrial nations and many developing nations like India are throwing up trade barriers against Chinese imports. If they do not, their national manufacturing industries will be wiped out and they will be reduced to supplying the Chinese industrial superpower with farm products or fossil fuels or services like finance and tourism.

- A TikToker posing as a legal expert posted a disturbing video recently where he falsely tells illegal aliens facing deportation that they “have every right to shoot” at ICE agents in an attempt to incite violence against law enforcement.

- Earlier this month, BlackRock Inc. secured control over key ports near the Panama Canal, stripping away Chinese-linked influence over one of the world’s most crucial shipping routes.
- The $23 billion deal, which includes $5 billion in debt, will effectively place the strategic ports under American control — a move long advocated by President Donald Trump and national security hawks concerned about China’s grip on global infrastructure.
- The transaction, announced Tuesday, involves Hong Kong-based CK Hutchison Holdings selling its controlling stake in Hutchison Port Holdings and Hutchison Port Group Holdings to a U.S.-led consortium spearheaded by BlackRock, AP reported.
- This historic acquisition grants control over 43 ports in 23 countries, including major sites in Mexico, the Netherlands, Egypt, Australia, Pakistan, and Panama’s critical ports of Balboa and Cristobal—the two primary gateways to the Panama Canal.
- President Donald Trump has vowed to “take back” the Panama Canal, arguing that Panama has violated its neutrality pledge and allowed China to gain control over the waterway.
- Now China is blocking the transfer of the critical ports to a Blackrock-owned group.
- Business Day NG reported:
Source: thegatewaypundit.com
-
Trump could invoke the Neutrality Treaty by declaring China’s actions a violation of the canal’s neutral status. He might lean on executive powers under the U.S. Constitution (Article II) or statutes like the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. § 1701) to justify sanctions or military posturing, citing national security. However, the treaty doesn’t explicitly allow the U.S. to “retake” the canal or dictate port ownership—it’s about defending neutrality, not ownership.
-
For this to hold, Trump would need to show China’s interference poses a concrete threat—like militarization or operational control beyond commercial use. Right now, there’s no public evidence of Chinese soldiers or direct canal management, as Panama and Beijing have repeatedly denied. The port sale delay is economic, not military.
-
Practical Steps: If Trump pushed this, he could:
-
Deploy U.S. forces to “safeguard” the canal, citing treaty rights.
-
Pressure Panama to revoke CK Hutchison’s concession (an audit of the company is already underway, per Panama’s President Mulino).
-
Escalate economically via tariffs or sanctions on China, framing it as retaliation.
-
-

Ukraine Has Secret Nuclear Doomsday Plan, According To Former Zelensky Advisor
- Ukraine has a secret last-ditch “scorched earth” plan to render its entire territory uninhabitable in the event of a Russian victory in the war – and perhaps the rest of Europe with it.
- This is according to Oleksiy Arestovych, a former adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
- In an interview with a Ukrainian journalist that he gave last month, Arestovych claimed that Ukraine’s current head of military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, has floated a plan to blow up all of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, and possibly some of Russia’s as well, if all other defensive measures fail.
- Ukraine currently operates four nuclear power plants with a total of 15 reactors. One of them, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station, is the largest plant in Europe and has been under Russian occupation since March 2022. Russia, for its part, has 37 reactors divided among 11 power plants.
- Nor would this catastrophe be limited to Ukraine and Russia: Harmful radioactivity would undoubtedly be carried by the atmosphere and spread over the rest of Europe as well.

Sen. Chuck Grassley Introduces ‘Judicial Relief Clarification Act’ To Rein In Activist Judges
- Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) introduced a proposal Monday to rein in judicial injunctions like the ones currently hampering President Donald Trump’s popular MAGA agenda.
- The Judicial Relief Clarification Act of 2025 (JRCA) would “limit federal court orders to parties directly before the court, ending the practice of universal injunctions,” according to a Judiciary Committee Majority press release. The bill also aims to clarify the constitutional role of the judicial branch.
- According to a Judiciary Committee fact sheet, the JRCA:
1. Forbids federal courts from issuing sweeping relief against the government to persons not before the court—ending the practice of universal injunctions and diminishing the
incentive to forum shop for a sympathetic judge.
2. Requires parties seeking universal relief against the government to use the class action process to show that class-wide relief is proper.
3. Makes temporary restraining orders (TROs) immediately appealable, strengthening appellate review.
4. Amends the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and Declaratory Judgment Act to clarify that courts may only issue relief under those statutes to parties before the court.

- The Republican-led House of Representatives is set to vote this week on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, H.R. 22, a critical piece of legislation aimed at slamming the door shut on noncitizen (both legal and illegal aliens) voting in federal elections.
- Led by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) and backed by nearly 60 Republican lawmakers, this hard-hitting bill is a direct response to the growing assault on election integrity—driven by the Democrats’ reckless open-border agenda and the radical left’s obsession with weakening our voting system.
- The legislation zeroes in on the dangerous loopholes in the National Voter Registration Act of 1993. It would finally require all voter registration applicants to submit verified proof of U.S. citizenship — a commonsense safeguard that’s long overdue, as noncitizens continue to infiltrate the voter rolls thanks to so-called “oversight” by bloated government bureaucracy.
- Under the proposed law, states would be barred from processing voter registration applications unless applicants present “documentary proof” of citizenship, such as a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, a U.S. passport, or a certified birth certificate paired with a government-issued photo ID.
- Military IDs with service records, naturalization certificates, and even American Indian Cards with a “KIC” classification would also suffice.
- For those without immediate proof, states must establish alternative processes—like signed affidavits under penalty of perjury—to verify citizenship.
- The bill doesn’t stop there. It mandates states to actively purge noncitizens from voter rolls, leveraging federal databases like the Department of Homeland Security’s Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system and the Social Security Administration’s verification tools. States would also be required to set up programs within 30 days of enactment to root out ineligible voters.
- The SAVE Act also takes aim at federal agencies, requiring them to share citizenship data with state election officials within 24 hours of a request—no fees allowed.
- Any election official caught registering non-citizens could face criminal penalties, including federal charges. The Department of Homeland Security would even be tasked with investigating and potentially deporting any noncitizen caught unlawfully registered.
